A Look at PEGS and Sour Sweets

When I was young my mom would often buy us WARHEADS SOUR WORMS PEG BAGS and we used to go out to the candy store in town called the Candy Store. They had these great little wicker baskets that could hold many different candies. I can remember one particular night I went with my brother to the candy store and we selected a few different PEG Bags that were red and green in color.

These PEG Bags was actually made out of sugarcane wicker baskets that had a handle on the top of it. To me, they looked just like wicker baskets that you might use to store vegetables in at the home or in the garden. We were very young, so we thought that the wicker baskets were pretty neat.

When we got home I would help her to empty the wicker baskets into the wicker baskets and then I would put the PEGS in to the bottom of the wicker baskets. We would often grab a handful of these sweets and then I would offer them to her for company, and she would go bananas. Now this was one of my favorites at that time because she would often go on about how sweet these PEGS were. We would run out of them pretty fast and it wasn't long before I got to catch up to her.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places over the years and one trip that I want to highlight is when I took my brother and my other half to a place in Mexico that was considered to be a cultural landmark. What really got to me was when we got to the end of the park, which was the old cathedrals that were over 100 years old. It is a real miracle that they are still standing but I do admire them because these old cathedrals are full of amazing architecture and beautiful stained glass windows.

When we came out of the museum there was a little bit of a problem because I could not find a souvenir shop so I ended up going home with some really sweet sour candies that I still have to purchase. The next day I went back and purchased two more sets of these warhead sweets. We went back to the landfilled and collected four more sets of these sweet sweets. On our way home I had to stop and get a whole can of PEGS. I think I saw one person there so I might be on a good route.

I just cannot explain how much I enjoy collecting PEGS. It is like a hobby but it also brings me joy and also gives me a great sense of joy. I love anything that has to do with history and this is such a perfect example of that. These warhead sweets are very cute and will keep you in candy mode for a long time.
