A Look at the History of the Chocolate Syrup

WERTHER Originals is a well-known brand of sweets owned by the German confectionery August Storck KG, situated in Berlin, Germany. The candy is extremely popular throughout Europe and North America as well. The origination of the candy dates back to 1843, making it one of the very few confectionaries that have been around for this long. Amongst the many varieties of sweets sold by WERTHER Originals Caramels have become one of their most popular products. They are produced in a large number of countries worldwide, including Mexico, Italy, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

WERTHER ORIGINAL

In the late 19th century, during the First World War, Joseph Loesler, an American, began selling his "Sour Cream of War" to the soldiers stationed in Germany. As a result, they were able to create an incredibly bitter and sticky caramel bar, which was highly-popular amongst the soldiers. These bars were so famous that they inspired the Caramel Chocolate drink that we now know as Caramel Macchiato.

The "Sour Cream of War" caramel was created in a process similar to how caramel is made today. In this process, hot butters are combined with a sweetener such as sugar and water to create a caramel mixture. This mixture is then poured into a mould and hardened to form a specific shape. This shape was called "caramels" by the soldiers. Today, this caramel is used to make candies and desserts in the United States and Canada.

The process of making the caramel was changed slightly in the 19th century, resulting in a more hardened and consistent caramel bar. This allowed more time for the unique flavors to fully develop. It also made the werchel Original more expensive, as each bar was cut from a single piece of chocolate. The more chocolate was used, the darker and stronger the caramels got. These darker caramels, in turn, produced a sweeter taste and a higher concentration of caramel.

After World War 1 began, the werchel industry exploded. People flocked to stores for werchel's and the demand far outstripped supply. As a result, prices increased dramatically and people were unable to obtain the werchel original for a fair price. Werkles, however, were very resilient and resistant to dampness and temperature changes. These sturdy, beautiful shoes quickly made their way back into everyday wardrobes and the werchel originals became a must have accessory.

In recent years, perched makers have begun to add caramel into their chocolate syrup to recreate the werchel original, creating a lighter version of the chocolate syrup that is enjoyed by many people. Cocoa butter has also been added to many werchel chocolate treats to give them a richer, sweeter taste. The result has been a product that is both elegant and luxurious while maintaining the integrity of the original recipe. No other chocolate product can be as enjoyable and indulgent as these handmade treats. Whether you love the chocolate taste or simply adore the design of the original, it doesn't matter, because everyone enjoys a good werchel.
