Pastry chef jobs are very popular these days. A pastry chef's life can be an adventure from the moment they get started. One day they may decide to open their own pastry boutique or shop in a popular shopping mall or in the neighborhood center. A baker's menu can consist of many things, from one simple selection of croissants to more complex selections for example: confections with truffles, jalapeno cheese, chocolate, nuts, and many more. The most common pastry selections are the French treat called troffle, also known as Swiss or German chocolate. The parmentier is the pastry chef that creates and designs the traditional pasty designs for a variety of specialty cuisines. There are many parmentiers all over the world, but there is a very select breed of chef parmentiers that are truly world famous, for they are the ones who invented and created these incredible masterpieces.

Two of the most famous parmentier pastry chef of all time were Romain Cordes and Bernard Parmentier. They invented the world-famous "Cordial" which is a fluffy, light, fresh, golden-brown, soft-baked bread filled with fillings from various regions of France. It is so popular, in fact, that it is made in just about every country in the world and is a huge international success.

One of the most important types of pastries, besides the buttery, gooey, rich pasty itself, is the rue. This giant loaf of French pastry is rich and creamy and often contains fruit, nuts, raisins or even almonds. The name is derived from the French word "ruse" which means "dough". Today you will find rue available everywhere from Canada to South America, Africa to Eastern Europe and everywhere else in the world.
