Gumball Machines

Chewing gum has been around for a very long time - probably longer than humans have been around. What has changed over the years is how gum has been presented. Now, instead of a long stick of gum with a long handle to reach, there is a gumball. And no longer do we have the long, dangling ends that we used to receive.

Hubba Bubba is an adult toy gumball, much like the popular Happy-Dough Surprise Gumball Surprise Egg which children commonly play with. Chewing gum has always been a smooth, cohesive substance meant to be chewed with ease without swallowing. Today's gum balls are made up of gum base, gum additives, fillers, ploys, syrups, flavor, additives, and usually a hard plastic or hard rubber coating. They are coated with color and sometimes logos.

These new gums come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are designed for sucking on with your teeth rather than with the fingers. They are made to resemble candy and come in a variety of different colors. There are gum balls for babies, children, teens, ladies, and men. There are gum balls shaped like trucks, hearts, people, animals, etc.

The varieties available can be quite mind-boggling. It used to be that gum balls were simply orange or green in color, but today, they come in literally thousands of different hues. Some of them have slogans or funny sayings on them. Most are not only plain colored but have patterns in them as well. There are 'gum ball' shaped candles, 'gum ball' shaped soaps, 'gum ball' shaped pencils, books, pens, pencils, shirts, bags, luggage tags, calculators, lamps, mirrors, umbrellas, key chains, t-shirts, sweaters, hats, mugs, coasters, calculators, watches, purses, and more.

Gumball machines are also made for children. The more sophisticated ones have suction cups that can hold up to 30 pieces of gum. They also contain holes that you can put little toys into to fill the gumball with candies. A gumball machine can make an excellent gift idea, but you may want to go to your local drugstore and see if they have one that your child will enjoy.

The gumball industry is worth billions each year, making it easy to see why gumball machines are so popular. Children love to play with gumballs, especially those shaped like their favorite cartoon characters. The commercial gumball machines that you buy for your office are not only fun to play with, but can also save you money in the long run. You don't need to throw away expensive candy in the garbage, letting them waste away on things that do not have a purpose other than to collect your money. Instead of giving your employees gum, why not give them a good reward with a gumball machine?
