Harry Potter - The Search for the Magic Stone
Harry Potter is an exciting series of seven books written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of a young wizard, Harry Potter, who finds himself thrown into a magical world where he must battle dark creatures, learn to control his wild magic, and learn how to use his amazing wand. The Harry Potter series has become one of the biggest selling books in the world. Harry Potter books are continuously making their way into the public library.
One of the most intriguing aspects of Harry Potter is its magic system. Magic is often defined as "the power of imagined things." According to the dictionary, the power of magic "is the ability to cause real things to happen without any control or efforts on the part of the user." Based on this definition, it is easy to see how the concept of magic can be twisted and used to cause trouble for those that do not understand its subtle aspects.
This insidious magic comes from the words of a prophecy made by a prophecy hunter named Quirinus Quirrell. A copy of this prophecy was given to a Muggle (non-magical) called Remus Lupin, a half-blood wizard. In order to save his godson from the clutches of vengeful Lord Voldemort, Remus went on a mission to locate and speak with the original master of magic, Hogwarts professor, and current head of the Hogwarts school, Albus Dumbledore. Unfortunately, he did not succeed, and instead found himself trapped with Harry Potter in the body of "Pettigrew," a half-blood wizard.
Lily, mother of Harry Potter, discovered that her son had been taken away to Hogwarts following the death of his parents in a freak accident. At the castle, she and her husband Sirius searched the surrounding woods for a way to rescue their son, but they came across an enchanted trunk containing a mirror. The mirror gave Lily and Sirius a glimpse into a world where everyone had a dark side: Lily saw a figure that looked like Voldemort, but it was actually Harry Potter. Remus, sensing some sort of connection, asked the giant spider, Nagini, for help, but Nagini refused, claiming that it was not the path of all wizards. Lily then contacted Hagrid, who told her that she had to bring Harry Potter through the fireplace, but she did not want to hurt the boy.
When Lily and Harry arrived in the Pensieve Forest, they were greeted by a giant who identified himself as Pettigrew, the only person who knew where to find the Potter's trunks. Unaware that everyone else knew about the magic, Harry Potter decided not to tell Pettigrew the truth about his magical background, which led to his death. Lily then decided to separate herself to Hogsmeade, where she attended the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleaella Flitwick, along with Sirius Black. This was when she learned the truth about her parents' death, which caused a large part of her heart to be torn apart with pain and regret.
After the war, Lily travelled back to Hogwarts, where she pursued her dream of becoming a witch. However, she was stopped by Severus Snape, who thought that she would be better suited to being a potions maker. Lily fought hard against this, but in the end, she was still found wanting. As a result, she attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she became known as an extremely powerful witch. However, in the summer of 1997, she went on a mission with Albus Dumbledore, who took her to Hogwarts again, where she discovered that Lord Voldemort had returned.
