Hi-Chew! - A Review of a Fruity Hi-Chew Candy From Japan
Hi-Chew is an all natural, unrefined fruit smoothie loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. HI-CHEE is an excellent way to deliver your taste buds a wholesome boost while filling your vegetable and fruit intake. All-natural fruit piece includes green apple, mango, grape, and strawberry. It's one of the best fruit smoothies I've ever had, and I highly recommend it.
Hi-Chew features a tart, tangy green apple flavor with a hint of raspberry flavored accents. With the addition of banana, mango and strawberry, the flavor takes on a fruity twist. I love the combination of flavors, as it satisfies the sweet cravings in a great new way. To add to the fruit and creaminess, we add some sour cream to further sweeten things up. This sweet and tangy concoction makes a healthy snack that satisfies even the most particular dieter.
There are many places where you can buy hi-chew products, but one place you can't find this wonderful fruit smoothie is at your local candy store. Candy stores don't carry fruit smoothies, so you'll have to settle for Hi-Chew's alternative, the candy version. These candies are still made with the same ingredients as the original, but the candy is in a separate container and comes in different flavors. You can get the classic fruit flavor or try the dragon fruit option, which has more of a licorice taste to it.
Dragon Fruit is one of the newest additions to the range of Hi-Chew's fruity candy flavors, which features blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and pineapples. It was introduced just before Christmas time as an exclusive fruit blend with an unusual flavor. Some people claimed that they couldn't eat the fruit because it was too bitter, but most people loved it! Dragon fruit has now been on every health and wellness list since its release and is proving to be a huge hit. As with all hi-chew candies, there are different flavors available and you can choose from fruity versions like blueberry crumble, pineapple upside, blueberry pie, or sour cream toffee to name just a few.
I'm not sure why Hi-Chew decided to make another fruity candy blend. The taste of the original is still the same, but I think it might just taste better in a different container. Maybe they could have filled the cup of coffee holders with these instead? Whatever the reason, the Hi-Chew line of snacks and sodas are growing in popularity, although it is still difficult to get your hands on the candy itself. As with any new brand, Hi-Chew has had to start over in a big way in order to stand out in the saturated market space that seems to be growing on candy bars and in-between traditional candy bars.
My favorite flavor is pineapple upside down cakes with cherries on top. This is the kind of dessert you can eat without being guilty of the calories and the fat. These fruit cakes remind me of a cross between an English breakfast bar and a good Japanese candy. And oh, if you ever get the chance to taste this wonderful new flavor you'll be hooked for life!
