History of Kit Kat

Everyone has their own opinion of what Kit Kat bars are like. Many love them and many hate them. If you love them, you probably won't care that it is now a privately owned American company, which controls a vast five hundred million dollar stockholder's equity. You probably won't care that it moved from the British market to the American one. If you hate them, well, let me explain why.

The story of how the Kit Kat became a successful business in Japan and then in the United Kingdom is an interesting one, but I will save that for another time. Suffice to say, the company changed the way that candy was sold by changing the sweetener from cow's milk to soy bean flour. The move made it easier to create crunchy bars, with a higher concentration of sugar, and lower costs per bar.

The change to a soy based sweetener meant a big marketing boost for the business, and a huge advertising push in both English-speaking countries and Japan. The new slogan, "KIT KAT IS GOOD" was a great slogan for an obvious reason. Kit Kat bars became hugely popular in Japan, where people were already familiar with the cereal and the fact that Kit Kat bars had such a good taste.

Americans were already familiar with the confectionery, which made marketing it easier. They were familiar with the brand name, and the taste. Kit Kat was something that was appealing to all audiences, and because of its simple, delicious, colorful packaging it suited almost any market. Kit Kat bars became hugely popular in America, particularly in wheat-free and vegan diets, which allowed the company to target markets that other companies couldn't.

In 2021, American companies took over most of the manufacturing, and the company still retains the majority share. The American version of Kit Kat bars is more popular than the original Japanese formula. Some of the more popular flavors are peanut butter chocolate, maple, chocolate orange, strawberry, and chocolate raspberry. The United Kingdom has taken over as the largest producer of Kit Kat bars.

Kit Kat has continued to grow in popularity in North America, particularly in Canada, the United States, and in Australia. There is even a Kit Kat Wafer Bar. The wafer is coated in chocolate and then heated so that the chocolate fudge fudges on top of the wafer, creating a delicious treat. These Kit Kat bars are also sold in several different flavors. The original chocolate wafers can be bought in three flavors - white chocolate, strawberry milk, and golden cream.
