History of Wonder Wild Fire Candy
Wonder Wildfire is a candy brand owned by Nestle Corporation. The story behind the brand goes back to when Nestle was in the process of developing a line of animal-themed candy, namely, the My Pillow Pets Cat in the United States. Wildfire had been one of the brands that was being considered for this line. It was later suggested that the name be changed to something more fun and appealing like "Wildfire". It became a huge success, so much so that it was bought by its founder, who then started a second company, called WONka, which stands for Wildfire Oneness.
The company was made up of the founders, who are Richard W. Teitelbaum, John W. Griswold and William R. Griswold. Later on, Richard W. was elected as the company's president and John W. served as the company's vice president. Nestle later purchased the entire business from WONka Entertainment and later sold it to Nestle Corporation in 1996. Today, Wonder Wildfire sells candy similar to its earlier products under the name WONka.
Wonder Wildfire offers a wide range of different kinds of candies under the WONka label. The most common ones are the ones that feature cartoon animals, such as bears, monkeys, tigers, deer, and chickens. These are very popular among children, teens, and adults alike. The line also includes several flavors such as hot dogs, ice cream toppings, shakes, and biscotti.
The reason why WONka became so successful is because they feature real wild fire ants.
