How to Choose Soda Flavour Candies
Have you ever tried the delicious soda flavour of your favourite soft drinks? Most people have and most often they are disappointed with the taste. Why is this so? It seems that everyone has their own theory as to why the drink they love turns out tasting so bad.
I don't know anyone who drinks their coffee black, no matter how strong it might be. The same goes for the chocolate drink. Why do we all like something so sweet and delicious to taste so bad? Well, I am going to tell you the answer to that question...
Candy has always been a big part of childhood. We always had a blast trying to get our hands on these sweet delicacies. I can remember as a kid waking up in the middle of the night and wanting that energizing drink. We would rush to the kitchen and eagerly try to recreate the taste of our favourite candy. I am sure that even my mother can still recall those sweet mornings.
I would try anything just to taste a variation on the drink that I loved as a child. I even tried white Crave pie in a tin as an adult. Although I am happy with the smooth taste of the standard white Crave pie, I will save it for another day. I certainly won't put a white Crave pie in my mouth without a straw.
Now, I am not saying that all carbonated drinks are bad for you. Sure, some of them taste really good. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to consume carbonated drinks. You should never drown out the taste of your carbonated beverage with another sugary drink. This will only drown out the natural flavours that your carbonated beverage offers.
Instead, drink a couple of glasses of water with the candy. This way, the carbonation of the soda will seep into your body and enhance the flavours that you taste. And, believe me, there are a lot of good flavours out there! Do your research. Find out which flavours complement your taste and keep these simple rules in mind when choosing your next candy bar.
The colour of the candy plays a big part in how it will taste when you drink it. Red means that it will probably taste better. If you are a red-faced person then soda that is red in colour will make your face light up. A lot of carbonated drinks have red additives so keep this in mind. You may also want to look at the back label when you buy carbonated beverages to see if there is something that you can add to the soda to make it more carbonated.
If you have ever eaten a Keurig coffee, tea or chocolate then you have some idea of what I mean by having a favourite flavour candy. If you do then try to match the flavour candy to whatever drink you are having. If you are drinking a Mint Julep then a raspberry flavoured candy would go well with that. If you are drinking coffee then you can get the jolt of a coffee lollipop. You can also have a flavoursome tea with your favourite candy but make sure it is not a candy that has jellies or other sugary drinks in it.
Candy can be fun to experiment with and many people do. I have seen people who have mixed peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a can of soda and called it Jelly Nuts. That is extreme even for a person with a sweet tooth. Be safe though when mixing things like this. This drink is only served in very sterile environments so mixing things with it can actually make it worse.
