Hubba Bubba: Ideal For Your Child
Hubba Bubba is a generic brand of gum made by Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, a division of Mars, Incorporated, in the United States within 1979 but now more recently manufactured in several countries around the globe. The name 'Hubba Bubba' was given to the product by Mrs. Emili Huff, a popular lady singer and actress of her time who were often pictured with a big, bold white gumball. Her son, Wm. Wrigley, Sr., used the name of his company in creating the gum to help promote his line of gum that was called 'Hooked'.
As the company's business was booming, the company's marketing campaign decided to change the name back to 'Hubba Bubba' since it was liked by children. The gum's color was changed from red to bright yellow to complement the bright color scheme of the company's other products. However, the original color was kept for nostalgic reasons.
Today, there are several styles of Hubba Bubba gum available, each having its own color combination. These styles include; the Original Gumball, Round Gumball, Bubble Gumball, squared gumball and gumballs shaped like cars, trucks, bowls, etc. The gum has also been transformed into a candy bar. There is gum in the shape of a bottle, an ice cream maker, pencils, key chains, hats, pencils, flashlights, and many more.
When the gum is opened, it looks like a bubble filled with chewy candies. These candies can be 'hosed' or 'smoked' to give them a fuller flavor. Smoked gum has a richer flavor than 'hosed' and 'smoked.' Some chew gums are flavored with vanilla, rosewater or other flavors to give a wonderful aroma. The aroma from this gum would not be out of place in a gumball machine.
Children love to 'hose' or 'smoke' their gumballs. They do this by pouring the gum into their mouths and blowing on them. The bubbles release a sweet aroma as the candies inside are released. As the gum bounces, it makes a 'hum' noise that is quite pleasing to children. This activity stimulates the senses and is guaranteed to be loved by young and old alike. A gumball machine is the ideal toy to stimulate a child's sense of smell.
The best part about a gumball machine is that children will continue to play with them well into adulthood. They will eat the gum just as they have had all their life, and there is no chance they will get bored with them. As the gum gets older, the flavors of the gum will change so that your child can keep changing his or her favorite flavors. The gumball machines really do capture the imagination of children, and many kids spend countless hours playing with them.
