Is Bag Candy the New Trend?
In the early 1980s, at a time when America was in the grips of the sugar-industrial revolution, the confectionery industry - also known as the candy store - bloomed to a huge financial success. Candy companies from around the country began to display their wares in attractive, eye-catching storefronts all over town. Candy makers began to display their goods in attractive, appealing displays that drew consumers in. In no time at all, people were traveling from all over the country to visit these shops in order to buy some or other type of candy, including bag candy.
The werther caramel was one of the top sellers in town. When it was created, it was quite literally ground up and combined with some type of flavorings. When it was created, it was originally called "wet on wet". This name stuck because the process of making the caramel allowed it to be mixed more freely with the wet ingredients than with ice and later with water.
During the late 1800s, the sweetener industry began to boom. During this time, many different types of caramel were created. One type of caramel that gained popularity was the werther caramel. Werther caramel was made by heating up sweet potatoes until they were soft. The caramel was then spooned into a mold made out of a cane, which gave the sweet potato its characteristic flavor.
Over the years, werther caramel has become widely available. Today, anyone can walk into a candy store and purchase a box of this tasty treat. It is served in a variety of ways. Some restaurants will serve it with biscuits or rolled oats. It is also commonly served as a dessert during special occasions such as Thanksgiving.
Other versions of werther caramel that are quite common include kettle chips, which are a bit more akin to bagels. In both these versions, you add salt to the caramel before eating. Kettle chips and bagels differ slightly when it comes to the ingredients. While in the bag, you dip the pieces of candy into the caramel; in the kettle chips, you stir the pieces of candy while putting them in the pan.
Bag candy, however, offers a different method of preparation. Instead of using a pan to allow for the caramel to reach its optimum temperature, bag manufacturers simply place the pieces of candy into a large bag. This allows the heat of the bag to continue to spread throughout the werther. As a result, no matter how much you like your caramel, you will usually have to eat a lot of bags before your candy is sweet enough. That's not to say that these bags are bad.
In addition to offering a wider variety of candy to customers, bag manufacturers have also capitalized on their product's portability. Many packages are designed so that you can take them just about anywhere. These bags can be found in the grocery store, convenient stores, and even online. In addition, they are less expensive than other forms of candy, making them a great option for those on a budget. While they are small, they do make a big impact when you think about the health benefits they offer.
In addition to offering a wider variety of werthers, bag candy also offers a different aesthetic. While caramel bars are often bright and cheery, bag candy is more often designed to be decorative. Some packages feature beautiful ribbons or bows, while others feature a single color. They may come in just one color or feature multicolor strips or stars. No matter what type of candy you choose, bag candy can provide a fun alternative to a traditional kettle or bag of candy.
