Nerds Rope Vs Gummi Gum
Nerds Rope creates sweet, luscious fun with an easy, twisty, colorful wrap of tropical fruit enhanced with the flavor of candy. With its nutty sense-ending flavor of crunchy and gummy, NERDS Rope makes a bold, luscious, color, and texture combination best described as a candy experience. NERDS Rope consists of a string of individually-wrapped tropical fruits, each depicting a scene from a tropical climate. Each strip of colorful gum has a story to tell, and once the gum is melted, it becomes NERDS Rope!
Along with its flavor, NERDS Rope brings you bright, chewy, juicy fruity flavors like blueberry berry, mango, raspberry shortcake, passion fruit, melon rind, and passion fruit gumbo. The gums are made of 100% real gummy candy wafers (not chocolate chips), which are wrapped in a variety of shapes including hearts, squares, circles, triangles, etc. The wrappers are usually decorated with colorful, edible gold leaf to resemble foliage of large tropical trees. These gums come wrapped in individually-wrapped gift tags with a tag pointing to one of the following flavors: Berry Mix, Chocolates & Treats, Cotton Candy, Chocolate Caramel, Fruit Flavored Gummi, Lava Flow, Melon Ball, Nut Mix, Pomegranate Mix, Pineapple Candy, Tropical Tiki, Watermelon & Kiwi, Banana Bliss, and Wild Blueberry Pie.
This dextrose-based gum is safe for children and will not cause any serious dental problems. The gums are very thick and do not feel like sugary cotton candy. They are also a very pleasant contrast to the rich, creamy, and flavorful dark chocolate that they come packaged in. Nerds Rope can be found online at gummy candy heaven.
As mentioned, Nerds Rope comes in three different flavors: blueberry shortcake, banana nut mix, and peanut butter cookie. If you are looking for a gummy that is very similar to the Nectarines from Nerds Rope, then this is it. It has the same ingredients as the original Nectarines, but it has a more pronounced flavor (especially compared to the original), and it has a slightly thicker consistency. Because of this, it doesn't taste quite like candy, but instead, has a very distinct gummy flavor. To me, if you like the original Nectarines, then you will probably like this gummy candy rope version, but if not, I would recommend trying the original flavors.
At approximately forty dollars (which includes tax and shipping), Nerds Rope really isn't a cost effective gummy candy bargain. The reason why is because it doesn't have much of a product presence - it's not on the shelves in most grocery stores, and even if it was, it wouldn't make the cut because it is considered to be a "microwaveable" and not "marshmallow-based." On the other hand, gummy worms such as Nerds Candy and Nerds Rope do have a strong market presence and are easily purchased in bulk. I would suggest checking out the gums, lollipops, and toppings that Nerds offers; you might be pleasantly surprised. Although these snacks don't cost as much as gums, they do pack a powerful punch!
Gummy worms tend to have a tendency to become overly sweet after they have been exposed to different air conditions - sometimes air that is not particularly fresh can release chemicals that can irritate your lungs. The same is true with Nerds. In addition, the original Nerds brand tends to be quite abrasive, meaning that it can wear down the delicate fabric of your packaging if you leave the gum inside for too long. This can be problematic if you're shipping your gum - if it's going to get damaged in transport, it may not end up at its destination, or if it does, it could cause damage to your package. In addition, the multiple flavors that Nerds offers tend not to provide many options when it comes to packaging because it can be pretty difficult to create a package that will not affect the appearance of the gum - in general, if you try to use standard packing materials, your gum will likely stain.
