Reese's Nutrageous Chocolate Variations

Everyone loves chocolate. Everyone loves the smell of chocolate, the feel of it in their hands, the way it can melt your heart. It's not just for children anymore. There are chocolate bars for adults, chocolate eclairs, chocolate scented candles, chocolate covered edible gifts, you name it, there is probably a chocolate bar of chocolate out there for it. There is no denying it anymore.

The newest candy bar from Reese's, called spores, officially goes on sale on Thursday. There has been quite a bit of discussion over whether this can actually be introduced into the market without the chocolate filling, as some have suggested. As far as I am concerned, there is absolutely no chance of this happening. The company has always maintained that there is only one type of chocolate that can be consumed with s'mores, and that is the milk chocolate filled ones. I think that if this was going to change it would be very drastic changes.

For a very long time there was a question whether Reese would ever discontinue the tradition of chocolate fountains. The refill fountain was the first available chocolate fountain, and there were rumors that it was not coming out before Halloween. They released the second version, and the third version and then the fourth and fifth and now the sixth. There has been a lot of anticipation built up for the next release, which has finally come out. This may be the biggest thing that they have released in a very long time.

Chocolate, white chocolate really is the only flavor of chocolate that can be used when making s'mores. If you look at the back of the Reese's box the fillers say "shaped like a black-eyed peas" so that may be why it is discontinued for now. There has been some speculation that Reese is looking at expanding their lineup and adding other flavors such as butterscotch or cinnamon-flavored nuts. In fact, I was reading an article today about how Reese's is looking at putting cinnamon-flavored nuts on the shelves.

Is this the first candy brand variation of the Reese's Nutrageous Chocolate that you can get? It looks to be it. Could this be the very first chocolate bar that you can buy that has both white chocolate and Nutrageous chocolate in it? It could be.

There is a possibility that this is simply a new packaging design and the manufacturer will be able to continue selling the traditional peanut butter and chocolate cup confections. I believe that they are looking at expanding the product line, so they might be looking at this as a brand shift as well. The other theory is that they are planning for some sort of major rebranding. Whatever the case may be, it is very interesting that they have introduced a new variation of their most popular product. Will we see a new nutty version of Reese's Nutrageous Chocolate? Only time will tell.
