The Search For the Perfect Airheads Gumball

The makers of Airheads Bites are two guys who have a background in candy making. John Combs worked as a commercial artist for a gum manufacturer before turning to creating candy. Frank DiGiovia, owner of Perfetti, decided that he needed a better way to market his gum and decided to make candies.

One day while driving through the candy store one day, he came across a display of Airheads. He asked his assistant what he could get from them, so that he could give them a try. After chewing a handful of them, he felt a slight burning sensation all over his tongue. Upon doing some research, he learned that Airheads were originally created in the late 1800's in Italy by Fagionato Polegato.

During World War I, a German soldier was serving in the army. He developed an allergy to gum, so one of his colleagues, who happened to be a chef, created a gumball that tasted like ham. It was so good, he decided to make it available to the soldiers, but not to the general public. Since then, Airheads has gone through numerous design changes, including an assortment of new ingredients, and has become one of the most popular candy bars on the market. For someone who doesn't normally indulge in sweets, one small bag of Airheads is sufficient to provide hours of contentment.

The most popular variety of Airheads is the gumball variety. This has nothing to do with the fact that it looks like a gumball, because it actually is one. Airheads Bites resembles a gumball in appearance because of their gum-like exterior, and because of this, they are often given as gifts. If you want to impress a friend or loved one, why not give them a package of Airheads with gum and for a few days of enjoyment, they'll be hard-pressed to tell the difference. The gum is the giveaway, but don't think for a second that your gift will be dismissed as ordinary - many people would be amazed at the quality of the candy.

There are literally hundreds of different flavors of Airheads candy, so there is bound to be one to fit any occasion. Whether you prefer dark chocolate or milk chocolate, there will be a flavor combination that compliments the recipient of your Airheads gift. When ordering in bulk, some manufacturers offer free premade kits that include the candy itself, instructions for its consumption, and even a toll-free number that can be called to receive customer service assistance. If you have the time to invest, this is definitely a worthwhile investment, but if you're short on time, simply choose from one of the many Airheads that is available at your local grocery store.

If you have never had the pleasure of indulging in a good piece of gumball candy, you're missing out. The sweet sugary goodness that gumball has to offer is hard to top. Anyone who's ever tried one of these mouthwatering treats understands what I'm talking about. Airheads are like gumballs, but way better. The only drawback to buying in bulk is that you'll likely have to wait a while for them to arrive in the mail, but even then, ordering in bulk is still cheaper than buying them at a retail store.
