Toy Candy Molds - History
Clear toy candy has been a favorite traditional confectionery from Germany, England and Scotland, since the 16th century. It's especially popular during Easter and Christmas. The usual hard candy comes in a myriad of imaginative shapes, usually in vibrant colors. The usual candy has also been tinted in different bright colors, usually yellow, red and green, to represent different seasonal themed events. Candy such as Ring Pop, Big Bubbly, Baby Bottle Pop, Juicy Drop, and many other popular candies are loved by children in their young ages, even up to pre-teens.
For many years, this confectionary has been a part of the German culture, even though it was introduced many years ago in England. The reason for this is that the German people had been introduced to the sweet stuff long before the rest of the world did. The English people discovered sugar cane, which became the most common source of the sugar that was used in making the candy. From there, it spread all over Europe and it was even popular in the US too.
In Philadelphia, you can still find toy candies such as Ring Pop and Baby Bottle Pop. These are just two of the best sellers in the candy store. Juicy Drop and Big Bubbly are two of the top selling candy items. Both of these popular candies have been featured in many movies, commercials and other forms of media. Baby Bottle Pop still makes the best selling item in the Philadelphia candy store.
Some people say that it doesn't matter where in the world a candy item is being sold, it's just still made with hard candy in mind. People all over the world still make these type of candy items because it still taste the same. They may be shaped differently from one country to another, but they're still made with the best quality candy and they work just as well.
The best thing about Germany is that they make weapons from plastic here in the US and they have them in great shape too. There is some controversy going on right now with regards to whether or not the US Government has the right to sell them to the German soldiers once the Cold War was over. Many people are upset because they feel that the toy weapons were designed and made by the German military and should not be allowed back into the US. This is probably a big debate and won't be resolved until after the fall of the Berlin wall.
Whether or not the US Government has the right to sell toys to German soldiers remains to be seen, but the good news is that you can still buy German chocolate toys, German animals and German foods to name a few of the many different toys you can get to play with. Some German toys are also decorated with American insignias from the military, so the children are learning about the history and the friendships as well. The best part is that most of the toys have no tartar at all so they can be safely eaten and passed on to other generations as well.
