Who Is Lord Voldemort?
Harry Potter is an adventure series of seven fantasy books written by British author, J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of a young British wizard, Harry Potter, and his equally-popular friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who are members of the faculty at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Britain. Harry Potter lives with his muggle (non-magical) friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who happen to be most famous for their expertise in magic. In Harry Potter and the Half Blood Princess, fifth book in the series, published in 2021, the main characters are introduced. Harry Potter is supposed to defeat Lord Voldemort, a powerful dark wizard, and restore peace and magic to the world.
During the first several books, the main characters live in a small rural community called Hogwarts, which is protected by a Fidelus spell. But in the second half of the third novel Deathly Hallows, the crime rate rises and the local village are put under threat of attack by Death Eaters. In this novel, Lord Voldemort attacks the village and a bloody battle to follow. Harry Potter then becomes obsessed with finding out just who killed his parents and in doing so he discovers that he has become obsessed with the dark arts and decides to seek out the person responsible for their deaths - Lord Voldemort. It is here that Harry Potter learns the truth about himself and how he became a dark wizard in the first place.
The Harry Potter series is set many years after the events in the original book, when Tom Riddle, Lord Voldemort's arch nemesis, dies and is buried at the bottom of the Ministry of Magic, along with his body. But instead of being buried with him, Voldmortus Riddle comes back to life and possesses the soul of Harry Potter. Voldmortus tries to convince Harry that he should forget all about the war and return to normal life, but Harry Potter is convinced that if he doesn't do as he wishes, he will forever be known as the boy who died without regrets. The three-year gap is what gives Harry Potter his passion for the dark arts and even though he is already possessed of these powers, he will not allow Voldmortus to possess his body.
In Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter is reunited with his best friend, Luna Lovegood, who also happens to be his true love. Harry Potter also fell in love with Priscilla Malfunction, the pure-blood witch who is his student in the wizardry department at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, just as he fell in love with her during their first year at school. The two run into each other again in the final chapter of the third book, where they are caught up in the Quidditch World Cup, which is won byuggle-blood wizards and witches from the United Kingdom and Australia. In the book, it is shown that Priscilla is pregnant during the World Cup, but Harry has to postpone his wedding to protect the baby. When he does finally go to the big day, however, he witnesses a shocking turn of events that will alter everything that has happened.
When Harry Potter's enemies attack Hogwarts castle in the fifth book, The Half Blood Prince, they are driven away when a giant clockwork snake called Nagini swallows Harry. Unknowingly, Nagini was possessed by Voldmortus, who was aiming to control Harry's mind using the basilisk. Harry Potter then uses his newly-acquired skills to save the day and defeat Nagini, thus shattering the relationship Voldmortus had been trying to maintain with his wife. Harry Potter's mastery over the broomstick is also demonstrated when he easily defeats Dolores Umbridge in one-on-one battle. At the end of the book, Harry Potter is offered a life of peace and freedom by the headmaster, Severus Snape, but he refuses the offer, stating that he must remain on duty as a teacher until another person is named Headmaster.
In the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Tom Riddle returns as a dark figure known as Voldemort, who is defeated again by Harry Potter. However, v Voldemort turns out to be Harry's nemesis instead. After a highly-charged battle in which nearly everyone dies, the two flee from Britain and look for a safe haven, where they can continue their war against the Muggles.
