Why is a Theater Box Candy So Good?

There's no mistaking that theater candy has become a part of our lives. If you go to the movies, see a play or even just hang out at the mall it's very common to see theater candy. Even if you never go to the movies or see a play you have probably bought some theater candy from time to time. The brand names are Candyland, Nestle Crunch and Butterfinger. I recently went to the movies and there was only one theater popcorn machine and I had to ask for a refill to get my hands on some theater popcorn.

I have to tell you that theater candy really does add to the movie experience. It's like none of us could actually afford to see these movies without a few boxes of theater candy between us. The look of the little theater popcorn bag and the look of the theater popcorn itself is a treat. It almost makes you feel like you're on a movie set. We always go in with an empty bag of theater candy so we can have a snack while we watch the movie.

If you're a movie buff like me, there's a good chance that you know just how expensive theater popcorn is. And that's not even considering the price of a theater ticket. But even if you don't buy theater popcorn you still need some theater candy on hand to satisfy your movie craving. Just the mere thought of going to the movies can make anyone craving theater snacks sick. You know what they say you should eat to put off your appetite. Well, that's one way to put your movie craving to sleep!

As an adult movie lover who goes to the theater about once a year I can't think of anything that makes me happier than being able to go to the movies and eat theater candy. I can get gourmet popcorn and slabs of chocolate from the concession stand for a low price and go back and forth to the different theaters in the area. Sometimes it's hard to make it out of town. In fact I often wonder if my body can handle the acrid taste of theater popcorn and if it's worth it to pay the high prices for them. It seems like a lot of money for a package of theater snacks which is just so yummy!

Movie candy doesn't have to come from a theater. Most supermarkets sell chocolate candy bars that are just as tasty as theater popcorn. And since most groceries carry a good supply of these candy bars, there's really no reason to go to the movies when you can have candy right at home. The only thing you do need to be careful of is not buying the cheapest candy you can find. Some of the cheaper ones may not hold up as well or come with a lot of "junk" on them.

There is another benefit to using a theater popcorn machine at home. While you're waiting for your movie to start, you can pop into the theater for a nice snack. That way you'll get a quick pick me up before your movie begins.

Don't think that you have to limit yourself to movie popcorn. Just because you have a popcorn machine at home doesn't mean you can't enjoy other types of popcorn as well. You can top off your movie with some fresh popcorn from your machine or even sprinkle some on top of your favorite desert. It's a good day to enjoy popcorn and don't forget to use the theater popcorn machine to save on your own consumption of it.

So while you might not be able to always go to the movies, you can still have a good old fashioned popcorn at home for a change. It's a great stress reliever and you never know what kind of movie you'll stumble upon at the theater the next night. Popcorn is one of those things that seems to always be a favorite at family reunions and baby showers. Make sure your next party is a good one by stocking up on theater candy.
